Details:

Casa de Bellevue, comprises a hobby farm with beautiful, spacious 100-year-old solid farm house and several outbuildings. Located in the smallest province of Canada, Prince Edward Island, with its many quiet beaches relatively moderate climate. Newer steel barn (1980) of over 8,000 sq ft has ample space for many purposes, as well as a heated workshop. Property consists of 50 acres, with 30 acres of pastureland around the house and buildings and 20 acres of mainly hardwood forest with water running through. Unique view from house over a pastoral landscape, rolling hills and a 10-acre accessible millpond which offers trout fishing and boating opportunities. The property has southerly exposure and is nicely secluded without streetlights. A main road (rt. 24) connects you with nearby town of Montague in only 15 mins and with PEI's capital, Charlottetown, in only 30 mins. Montague offers all daily amenities such as groceries, banking, restaurants, schools, while Charlottetown, the larger centre, has excellent shopping and entertainment, and both university and college facilities. The seasonal (May-Dec) ferry to Nova Scotia is only 15 minutes away. PEI's 8-mile (13 km) long bridge gives you year-round access to the mainland. Charlottetown's airport can connect you with the rest of the world.

The house has beautiful and authentic features reminiscent of Victorian architecture. There are two staircases leading to the upper level, with two entrances and hallways. Both stairways have period banisters and the main double-door entrance has a grand feel. There is also a spacious attic for storage. Scrollwork ornamentations can be found on outside window casings and eaves, and tasteful gingerbread adorns the eaves of the veranda. Ceilings are over 10ft downstairs and almost 10ft upstairs. The house was built in appr. 1904 as full-size design, which makes it larger than many homes from the same period. In the spacious kitchen there is an old-fashioned woodstove. The house has been insulated throughout with fibreglass insulation in the walls and upstairs ceiling.
